Begin this special private dining experience with drinks journalist Max Allen hosting a tasting of the world's most famous sparkling wines – French champagne, Spanish Cava, Italian Prosecco and local bubbles.

Then settle into the gorgeous surrounds of the European’s private dining room with views over Parliament house and Spring Street.

Complete with dark wood panelling and impressive high ceilings,  it is reminiscent of a Victorian era gentlemen’s club.

Then enjoy a three course menu by executive chef executive chef Ian Curley and his team.

Max will be on-hand to introduce the wine and food matches.

HOST - Max Allen is wine columnist for The Financial Review, wine editor of Australian Gourmet Traveller, and a regular contributor to wine magazines around the world. In 1999 Max’s first book, Red and White: Wine Made Simple, won the prestigious André Simon Memorial Award. He was the first Australian to be named Wine Communicator of the Year by the International Wine and Spirit Competition; and at the 2011 Louis Roederer Wine Writers Awards in London he won the Best Wine Book trophy for The Future Makers: Australian Wines for the 21st Century
