Join wine writer Max Allen and food writer Richard Cornish as they introduce you to the exciting world of neurogastronomy.

Basically this means teaching  you how the tongue, nose and brain work together to create the sense of flavour.

These two engaging (and very witty) presenters explain how our brains combine taste and smell to produce flavour. And how our personal memories colour the experience of everything we eat and drink.

During this interactive masterclass Max and Richard will answer these questions – and many more – the only way they know how.

This is by sharing excellent food and drinks. Think ripe cheeses, olive oil. silky smallgoods, red wine, brewed beer and rare sake.

Max Allen is a wine and drinks columnist with over 20 years experience at The Weekend Australian Magazine, Australian Gourmet Traveller and The Financial Review. Max is also the author of numerous award-winning books on wine.

Richard Cornish  is a senior writer for The Age Epicure and SMH Good Living and has co-written four books on Spanish food with MoVida chef Frank Camorra and consults to the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
